Card Operated Meters - Prepayment
Card Operated pre-payment meters are now well established as a
socially acceptable method of paying for electricity usage. Card Meters provide mutual benefits to both tenants and landlords alike; they offer
a simple and effective solution to secure revenue collection and help eliminate debts that may occur as a result of non-payment of bills.

Electricity Card Tokens
Once your Card Meter is installed electricity payments can be made on a 'pay-as-you-go' basis through the sale of disposable card tokens. This simple solution provides a low cost cashless infrastructure from the supplier to the consumer’s meter. Electricity card tokens can be purchased in values ranging from £1, £5, £10, £20 and £50 denominations.

The card tokens are also security coded for revenue protection and unique
site codes can be issued on request subject to a minimum order.

Programming
Each Card Operated Meter has an optical interface port incorporated in
the fascia. Using hand-held programmers supplied by Energy Controls
the meter¹s parameters can be reconfigured for:- tariff updates, fixed charge adjustments etc., the remaining credit can also be reset to zero. Push-button re-programming is also available for individual meters.
