Energy Controls’ Solutions

The remit was to provide a metering system for electricity & gas supplies that would deliver accurate, automated readings on a scheduled basis. Energy Controls’ solution was to provide a GSM Smart meter with built-in Modem and SIM card that could interconnect with the Gas meter. The Smart meter acts as the main hub and records the electricity & gas readings before transmitting the data on to a web-based server.

Implementation & Use

Energy Controls were there to oversee the entire project from start to finish including: installation, set-up and commissioning. Not only is the meter reading data instantly available to the Park Operator but the residents are also able to monitor their usage using the Energy Controls’ online portal.

Return On Investment

Absolutely no capital investment was required from the customer. Instead Energy Controls free issued the entire system, including the installation. A nominal daily service charge is then payable by Standing Order which can be passed on to the consumer, making the whole system completely cost neutral!
